OUR PSALM 37 MOMENT
This is our Psalm 37 moment.
The righteous are speaking to one another. They are baffled. How did it come to this? Just when we had hope, a massive, withering, crushing attack strikes the presidential election.
How can this election be close? No one in their right mind can fall for this. Or can they?
A widespread heaviness and sorrow grips God’s people over this election. What caused this sudden turn?
It is a masterstroke of Satan. It is his tried and true formula. He has done it over and over again.
Here is how he does it:
-Introduce a Trojan horse under the guise of justice and equality.
-Create a ruling class who will do anything for money and power.
-Use them to place puppets in government and media. Control the teleprompter. Let them mouth peace—but only as a mouthpiece.
-Seduce young minds to believe in something that has never worked—and will never work. Social justice is the perfect bait.
-Foment hate toward everything that made America prosperous, strong, and safe.
We have come to America’s darkest hour. We are witnessing a vast coalition of liars churning out the largest disinformation campaign in history.
Never have the wicked advanced like this. Never have the righteous been disgraced like this.
Is there any hope? What should we do in the face of this evil?
What I do know is that we must not falter before the wicked. Not now, when we are so close to a miracle.
Satan is using smoke and mirrors. He has created a mirage to knock the wind out of the remnant of God! How can we break the spell?
That is where Psalm 37 comes in.
The Holy Spirit said, “Read Psalm 37 again.” When I did, I got the shock of my life! Suddenly, it was as if David was speaking directly over this election.
I cannot do it justice in one blog, but here are four explosive truths that will wake you up and put you back in the race.
1. Do not fret. Evil will be cut down.
David said, 1 “Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. 2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.”
The current administration of our government, along with the news media and the leftist billionaires will fail. God has already passed sentence on them. As David says, “soon” they will be mowed down by their own evil.
Fret is a complex word. It is a combination of fear, dread, vain imaginations and deception. In all cases, fretting begins by believing a lie.
But when God opens your eyes to see through the lie, you will become powerful. More powerful than you can imagine.
Tucker Carlson said, “When honest people say what’s true, calmly and without embarrassment, they become powerful. At the same time, the liars who’ve been trying to silence them shrink and they become weaker. That’s the iron law of the universe. True things prevail.”
2. Do “good” even when it seems futile.
David said, 3 “Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.”
Trust means that, to you, God is true and every man is a liar.
Feeding on His faithfulness means to recount your past victories. Tell this present threat that it will be like everything else that ever tried to attack you!
1 Samuel 17:36 reveals that David had done this very thing. “Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God.”
37 Moreover David said, “The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.”
You are doing it for God. You do not need instant results. Everything you do will bring results. God’s word is in you and it cannot return void. Even when it seems that God is doing nothing—He is doing more than you can imagine.
3.You are on a mission for God, and by God.
David said, 5 “Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.”
“What I do, I do by the power and authority of Almighty God.” If you can say that with conviction, you will not fear a thousand enemies.
You did not go to war by your own volition or power. Your actions are sanctioned by heaven. And all of heaven will stand behind you.
Your presence on this earth at this dark hour is not punishment. It is an honor.
4. You are the true justice warrior, not the Left.
David said, 6 “He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.”
Justice and equality are just punchlines to them. The only source is God—the creator of justice and equality. David is telling us that we are chosen to bring these blessings to the world.
No politician can save America. America’s greatest hope is what you carry. That is why God has placed a wall of fire around you. That is why by standing in your identity as a soldier of Christ, you are indestructible.
Rest in the Lord.
Finally, David says, 7 “Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.”
How can we rest when evil is on the march? We can rest because we know how the victory will come and that it will come.
What we are seeing in this election is a wicked scheme. We are not running against one person, but a multi-headed monster. But that monster is no match for God.
What we are watching in this campaign is a wicked scheme. A billion dollar hoodwinking. In an instant God can bring up the house lights and expose the lie.
David was so calm he could eat in front of his enemies. Psalm 23:5, “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies…”
Let us rest in the Lord. Then let us rise to do our duty. Every step we take from here on in will be intentional. It will be infused with purpose. It will operate from a place of trust in God.
