About Us

"Several years ago, I was walking along Lake Michigan and without warning, I felt the Spirit of God drop in my spirit. Remember the story of King David facing Goliath? I then sensed he was telling me to pick up five smooth stones from the sand. Why the stones? Well, they represent the colors of people on the earth. Also, during the many years I've been a filmmaker, God has often made it clear to me that my job is to reveal His heart in the stories we tell. That's what Heart Stone Network is about, revealing the heart of God to the peoples of the Earth.

In this inspired media channel, you will find true stories of ordinary people living extraordinary lives because they're partnered with an incredible God. Our heart's desire is to encourage, prepare and teach you to be a sphere of influence in the area God has called you to for such a time as this. Our content is free and supported by viewer donation. We're glad you're here. Come on in. I hope you will consider sharing your story with the world."

Mission Statement

HeartStone Network's mission is to reveal the heart of God and His redemption to the peoples of the earth in their native language through media.

What We Believe

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God (2 Peter 1:21Psalm 19:7-11), without error in the original manuscripts and is our guide for daily living (2 Timothy 3:16).

We believe that the one living and true God (Deuteronomy 6:41 Corinthians 8:4-6) exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:26Matthew 28:18-20).

We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God (Hebrews 1:1-41 John 5:20) and fully man (Matthew 1:20), and that he died on the cross for our sins (John 1:29) and rose on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3-5John 1:1-3).

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity (2 Corinthians 13:14) and that he empowers us for daily living (Romans 8:91 Corinthians 2:12-13).

We believe that people are created by God in his image (Genesis 1:27), but we have separated ourselves from God (Romans 2:55:12) and need his saving grace (Ephesians 2:8).

We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace (Ephesians 2:8-9), and we receive this gift of eternal life when we trust Jesus Christ (Romans 4:4-55:1) as our Savior from sin (John 3:16Acts 4:12).

We believe that the church is the body of Christ (Ephesians 1:22-23, 5:24-30) and that God has called believers to gather together in local church families (1 Corinthians 12:12).

We believe that Jesus Christ will come again (Titus 2:131 Thessalonians 1:10John 14:1-3) and reign eternally (Philippians 2:9-11).

Joshua Hicks

Some of Josh's earliest memories are on film sets. After earning a bachelors and master's degree in Maritime Business Administration from Texas A&M, Josh was working in container ports all over Texas teaching safety to longshoremen. He was offered the job based on his experience in filmmaking. After a couple years there, he felt God call him to join his mother in her mission to share the Gospel around the world as a media missionary.

While in university, Josh attended Iris Ministries Harvest School in Africa. He was trained by some of the most incredible missionaries on how to bring the good news to people all over the world, especially those in desperate situations. This journey, along with numerous trips to Africa to work on Gospel centered films, ignited a fire in him to spread the Love of Jesus all over the world to people through media.

Josh is also a public speaker and has been for as long as he can remember. At the age of 7 years old, he preached to a crowd of 200+ about why Jesus wants to be your friend. Now, his current message to his generation is to stand up for truth, discover your identity, and walk in Biblical masculinity.

Many forces in the world wants to strip away our God-given identity and Josh intends to build up the men of his generation to be speakers of truth, firm in their conviction, and the leaders of where God has called them.
